EN 10088 SS 1.4006, also known as X12Cr13, is a martensitic stainless steel containing approximately 12–14% chromium. This grade offers good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments along with high hardness and strength after heat treatment. With strong mechanical performance, moderate wear resistance, and good machinability, 1.4006 is widely used for components requiring strength, durability, and moderate corrosion resistance.
