ASTM A519 GRADE 8620 COLD FINISHED ALLOY STEEL SEAMLESS PIPES / TUBES
OVERVIEW
Seamless pipe is a pipe without a seam or a weld-joint. It is alos called CDS pipes (Cold drawn seamless pipe). It’s is used widely in maching parts, shafts, bearings, cylinders having strength of 75000 PSD tensile. It is a solid carbon steel rod which is pushed on to the mandrel to form the shape of tube.
Alloy steel seamless steel pipe is kind of long steel. Steel pipe has hollow section, which is widely used as pipeline for conveying fluids, such as oil, natural gas, gas, water and some solid materials. Compared with solid steel such as round steel, steel pipe is lighter in weight under the same bending and torsional strength. It is an economic section steel. It is widely used in manufacturing structural and mechanical parts, such as oil drill pipe, automobile transmission shaft, bicycle frame and steel scaffolding used in construction.
ASTM A519 covers several grades of carbon and alloy steel seamless mechanical tubing. The standard is also acceptable in the manufacture of piping. It is manufactured by hot working and then cold finishing the steel into round, square, rectangle or special shapes.
ASTM A519 8620 seamless steel pipe/tube is widely used in the mechanical treatment field, petrochemical industry, transport and construction field; A519 8620 used in ordinary structural purposes and mechanic structural purposes, for example 8620 material used in construction field, fulcrum bearing etc; The transportation of fluids in the projects and big equipments, for example transport of water, oil, gas etc. A519 8620 seamless pipe/tube can be used in low and medium pressure boiler for the transportation of fluids, for example steam tube, big smoke tube, small smoke tube, generating tube etc.
