Gr2 Titanium Hemispherical heads
The dish head refers to the element used to close the end of the container so that the internal and external media are isolated, also known as hemispherical heads/dish end/ Elliptical Dish End. The head of a cylindrical container is usually a revolving case. According to the shape of the head surface, it can be divided into convex shape, conical shape, flat shape and combination shape. Convex heads refer to heads with convex outer surface shape, such as hemispherical, oval, disc and unflanged spherical heads. Classification of the head
Ellipsoid head, hemispherical head and hyperboloid head are three types of ASME pressure vessel disc head.
Ellipsoidal head
This is also known as a 2:1 oval head. This head shape is more economical because the height of the head is only a quarter of its diameter. Its radius varies between the major axis and the minor axis.
Hemispherical head
A sphere is the ideal shape for the head because the pressure in the container is evenly distributed over the surface of the head. The head radius (R) is equal to the radius of the cylindrical part of the container.
Spherical head of complex surface
These have a disc head with a fixed radius (CR), the size of which depends on the type of spherical head. The transition between the cylinder and the plate is called the knuckle. The steering knuckle is circular.
