Gr12 titanium is mainly used for primary forming forged products. Grade 12 titanium contains 0.3% molybdenum and 0.8% nickel. The content of nickel and molybdenum alloy provides higher strength and better corrosion resistance. While it is not as corrosion resistant as grade 7 titanium (a titanium-palladium alloy), grade 12 titanium is more cost effective.
