EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 is a high carbon chromium-molybdenum alloy steel grade designed for applications requiring very high strength, excellent wear resistance, and superior hardenability after quenching and tempering. With a nominal carbon content of approximately 0.50%, this grade delivers higher hardness and strength compared to 42CrMo4, making it suitable for heavily stressed and wear-resistant components. Manufactured according to EN 10083-3 technical delivery conditions, 50CrMo4 steel provides deep hardening capability even in larger cross-sections.
